Lance Jethro is a Filipino multidisciplinary artist working between Manila and Sydney. With a foundation in fashion that shapes his visual language and creative direction, his practice moves fluidly across paintings, illustrations, makeup, and photography. Drawing from personal narratives and cultural intersections, he creates works that explore textures, colours, and identity through experimentation and emotional tension.
Lance Jethro’s work embraces rawness, imbalance, softness, and juxtaposition, often leaning into the beauty of the unfinished. He is instinctively drawn to creating imperfections –– disrupting harmony to create pieces that feel more authentic to his artist self.
In 2025, Lance self-published his art zines titled Baby Doll and Gising, which were showcased at the Tokyo Art Book Fair, Other Worlds Zine Fair (Sydney), Parramatta Zine Fair, and Festival of the Photocopier (Melbourne). He is a member of the School of Zines collective where he runs hands-on zine workshops, combining his passion for art, fashion, and zines to facilitate creative expression through textile experimentation.
